Celebrating their 25th anniversary, Bennewitz Quartet is the ensemble-in residence for the Czech Philharmonic. 2024 has been declared The Year of Czech Music, a celebration observed every decade when the year ends in a “4”. This year also marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bedrich Smetana, the 120th anniversary of the death of Dvorák, and the 170th anniversary of Leoš Janácek. Bennewitz returns by popular demand to Jorgensen for the second time in 2024, joined by Arsentiy Kharitonov on piano. Program will include works by Haydn, Janácek, and Dvorák.
